Dixon Fish (Fallbrook, California)
As a young kid my family moved from California to Arizona where I was raised on a cattle ranch. It was there that I came to love the wide-open space and native cultures of the Southwest.
As an artist I have always been drawn to the printmaking processes as a means of expressing those impressions from childhood of sky and land. As I get older my prints are evolving to include more abstract symbols that represent the fragility of life; perhaps another lesson from the desert.
